Objective To study on the mid and long- term effects of domestic recombinat hepatitis B (HB) vaccine and provide scientific basis for controlling HB.Methods The sera of children who were bom in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 in Taiyuan and Yangquan Cities were collected and detected for HBsAg.The negative children were immunized with 3 doses of recombinat HB vaccine prepared with yeast cells by Beijing Institute of Biological Products, and the anti - HBs levels and GMTs of them were detected 1,2, 3 and 4 years after vaccination. Results Both anti - HBs positive and protective rates reached 92.31% lyear after vaccination, then decreased annually at average rates of 1.44% and 8.77% respectively. Four years after vaccination, anti - HBs postitive rate was still 88.00% , but the protective rate was only 66.00% .Conclusions Boosters should be considered 5 years after 3 doses primary immunization .
