Objective To study the effects of ZnMT on DNA damage induced by methylmercury in mouse livers Methods We used the single cell gel electrophoresis (SCGE) to explore the protection of ZnMT against DNA damage induced by methymercury in vivo and in vitro. Results ZnMT decreased tlie DNA damage induced by metliylmercury in mouse liveisIt included synthesis of ZnMT treated with 5mg/kg zinc in vivo and 0.01μmol/L ZnMT m vitro .The lower of DNA damage induced by MeHg, tlie more extremely pro-tected. Condusions ZnMT can protect the DNA damage induced by MeHg in mouse livers.
