OBSERVATION ON EMBRYO DEVELOPMENT IN SPRING RAPE(Brassica napus L.)

Dong Yihong Leng Suohu Zhu Gengru (Jiangsu Agricultural College)  
The size of every part of embryo varied as "S" diagram.Their increasing peaks appeared on the 14th to 15th days after flowering,and their maximum appeared on the 22nd to 25th days after flowering.The rate of dry weight increase of embryo reached the highest on.the 28th day as 0.24 mg per day.The number of embryo cell stopped increasing on the 22nd day when the dry weight of embryo was only one fifth of its maximum and the length reached its maximum.Nitrogen could slow down early embryo growth,reduce regenerative embryo and lately promote embryo to grow.
