THE EFFECTS OF SOME SEEDLING BEETLE PESTS ON THE MAIN CHARACTERS OF ORO RAPE CROP

Zhao Umin (Institute of Plant Protection,Qinghai)
Based on the data of eight characters of Oro(B.napus L.)samples taken from an experimental plot, the effects of some insect pests including Phyllotreta vittata(Fabr.),P.humilis Weise,Psylliodes spp and Ceuthorrhynchus ssp on rape were analysed in a "t" test method.Stepwise regression analysis was conducted on seed weight per plant versus other characters of the plant. The results indicated that both weight of rape shoots per plant and height of plant played a significant role in the seed weight per plant whereas others' roles were not significant. The infestations of the seedling bettle pests depressed the growth and development of rape crop directly.
