The studies of agronomic characteristics of high oleic acid lines on rapeseed(Brassica napus)

The relationship between oleic acid content and seed yield on rapeseed were studied. Three lines of high oleic acid (oleic acid content is 77.5%,76.9% and 78.9% respectively) and three lines of common oleic acid (oleic acid content is 63.5%,61.6% and 62.9% respectively) were compared with each other through field experiments. The results were indicated that there were little differences in growth potential, agronomic characteristics, seed yield and degree of stem rot disease among high oleic acid lines and common oleic acid lines on rapeseed. Number of silique per plant of high oleic acid lines were less than the number of common oleic acid lines and number of plant of virus disease of high oleic acid lines were slightly more than the low oleic acid lines, but the differences were not significant. The oleic acid content in leaf of high oleic acid lines was greater than common rapeseed and the ODR of high oleic acid lines was lower.
