Analysis of prognostic factors in 198 cases with Stage Ⅲb/Ⅳ NSCLC

Objective To evaluate the independent prognostic factors of 198 patients with stage Ⅲb/Ⅳ NSCLC.Methods To analyse the clinical data of 198 patients with Kaplan-Meier,Log-rank and Cox regression model.Results The overall median survival time of these patients was 13.2 months;single-factor analysis showed that KPS score,TNM stage,chemotherapy approaches and cycles,short-term effect were related to prognosis;Multivariate analysis showed that KPS score,TNM stage,chemotherapy cycles were independent factors,respectively.Conclusion The therapy of stage Ⅲb/Ⅳ NSCLC should based on the principles of EBM(Evidence-Based Medicine) and provide effective individual chemotherapy approaches and cycles,and the improvement of KPS before chemotherapy is significant for better prognostic.
