Objective To study the efficacy of bladder nursing in patients with neurogenic bladder after operation for cervical cancer and its effect on bladder function recovery. Methods From August 2016 to March 2018,97 patients with neurogenic bladder dysfunction after resection for cervical cancer at Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University were selected. According to the method of random number table,48 patients who received targeted bladder nursing on the basis of routine nursing were included into the observation group and 49 patients who received routine nursing were included into the control group. The recovery of bladder function, urine volume and complications before nursing and at 1 month after nursing were observed and compared between the two groups. Results At one month after nursing,26 patients in the observation group recovered to grade I which was significantly more than 13 patients in the control group( P 0. 05). In the observation group, there were 7 patients with grade Ⅲ bladder function which was significantly lower than 19 patients in the control group( P 0. 05). The maximal urination volume, residual urine volume and voiding frequency in the two groups were significantly better at one month after nursing than before nursing( all P 0. 05). At one month after nursing, the above indesxes were better in the observation group than in the control group( all P 0. 05). The incidence of complications was 6. 1% in the observation group, which was significantly lower than that 20. 8% in the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusions Bladder nursing can obviously promote the recovery of bladder function, improve urination and reduce complications in patients with neurogenic bladder after surgery for cervical cancer.
