CLINICAL AND EEG ANALYSIS OF 26 CASES WITH ABDOMINAL EPILEPSY

Chen Jun-pao Zhou Gu-lan (Zhu Jiang Hospital, The First Military Medical College)  
26 cases with abdominal epilepsy were reported,including 17 males and 9 females.24 cases of them were children under 14 years of age and only 2 cases were adults,suggesting that this type of epilepsy is common in children.The clinical feature was a sudden attack of severe abdominal pain with nausea and vomiting.The EEG was characterized by paroxysmal hyperamplitude slow wave.The anticonvulsants were effective for all patients.
