Improvementquality of life of patients with benign end-stage liver disease by liver transplantation

Objective To investigate the variation of quality of life (QOL) in benign end-stage liver disease patients. Methods The Chinese version of WHO-BREF was assessed in the benign end-stage liver disease patients. 29 patients are divided into four time-stages (before the surgery, 1-3, 4-6, 6 months post OLT). Results To the benign end-stage liver disease patients, QOL of OLT recipients is much better than that before OLT in physical domain, overall quality of life and general health (P0.05). Conclusion The liver transplantation can improve QOL of the benign end-stage liver disease recipients.
