Mediant operation time was 62 min (range 35-105 min). The average hospital stay was 7 days in 24 cases with only spleen trauma and 12.8 days in 18 cases combined with other injuries. No major operative complications and mortality occurred. Conclusions HALS has advantages of minimal invasion, short operation time and safely, and the skillful technique is assurance of success.
