The observation of surviving-time of isolated human fetal cortical cells

Cortical cell suspension was got from 12 cases of fetal cadaver in 16￣26 week gestation by mechanical method. The Trypan blue exclusive and fluorescein diacetate uptake tests were used to examine the viability. The viability at the first hour after isolation was 48.38% in the donors of 16￣20 week gestation, 38. 71% in those of 20￣24 week gestation and 29.92% in 24￣26 week gestation. The preservation prolonged, the viabilities descended gradually. The viability at 4℃ was higher than that at 37℃. The results showed that: the better donor age was 16￣20 weeks; the duration of preservation should be limited within two hours. the earlier the better; 4℃ was suitable for cortical tissue preservation.
