ENGLISH ABSTRACTS OF ORIGINAL ARTICLES FACTORS INFLUENCING ENGRAFTMENT IN 30 PA- TENTS WITH ACUTE LEUKEMIA AFTER AUTOLOGOUS BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION

Qiu Lugui;Yan Wenwei;Han Mingzhe;et al(Institute of Hematology,Blood Diseases Hospital,CAMS,Tianjin,300020)
he kinetics of hematological recovery were retrospec- tively analysed by univariate and multivaria te analysis in 30 patients with acute leukemia after autologous bone marrow transplantation(ABMT).The median times to achieve WBC count of 1.0×10 ̄9/L,neutrophil count of 0.5× 10 ̄9/L and unsupported platelet count of 20× 10 ̄9 /L were 30 d (14~58d),376(14~79 d)and 616(20 ~230d),respectively。There were two factors that sig- nificantly associated with delayed hematological recov- ery, especially platelet recovery:acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia(ANLL)diagnosis and mononuclear cell cryop- reservation(P0.05 ). Hematological recovery had no correlations with age, sex, disease phase, interval be- tween remission and ABMT,intervals from the end of chemotherapy to marrow harvest and to ABMT,TBI in conditioning regimens, blood cell counts and indices of marrow quality at marrow harvest, and the indices of autograft quality(P0.1).Delayed platelet recovery significantly increased the requirements of blood and platelet transfusion and lengthened the hospital stay. Platelet count20 × 10 ̄9/L at day 90 post-ABMT pre- dicted more probabilities of early relapse(P=0. 06)。
