Study on the Mutagenic Effect of EMS on Yield Traits and Agronomic Characters of the Wheat

The present common problems in wheat breeding is germplasm resources scarce.A way of change this operation is mutation breeding,which is combination of conventional breeding and molecular breeding.There were mutations by artificial induction,New wheat germplasm was selected in the following generations and identification,breeding high yield,high quality and excellent comprehensive characters of wheat new germplasm.Ethyl methyl sulfomar(EMS) is a favorable chemical mutagen,and it has become one of the most widely used chemical mutagen,recently.In the research,Xinchun No.11 wheat variety were treated with different concentration of EMS to probe the optimal mutagen dosage,and the effects of EMS on yield traits and agronomic characters.
