Experimental Study on the Effects of Orienteering on Mental Health of College Students——A case study of Lishui Vocational and Technical College

The purpose of this study is to explore whether orienteering can enhance college students' mental health,adjustment and personality.The results of study will offer the practical theory foundation for the college students' mental health and orienteering promoting and development.This study takes 134 students from Lishui vocational technical college as experimental objects,and conducts the experimental study through the field research with China College Student Mental Health Scale(CCSMHS),China College Student Personality Scale(CCSPS),and China College Student Adjustment Scale(CCSAS).After the orienteering training through two semesters,we contrasted objects' mental health data collected before the experiment and after the experiment.The result of this research shows that scores of most dimensions of mental health,adjustment and personality from experimental group are better than that from control group,and orienteering can effectively improve college students' mental health,adjustment and personality.
