After the break out of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the whole nation was shocked and larges areas of our lands were lost consecutively. During the mass campaign for national salvation, the patriots dedicated themselves into this cause in all ways and then engraving slogans on stones became one of the important measures of wartime publicity. As such, the stone inscriptions about the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression witness the misery and resistance of Chinese nation. These stone inscriptions are mainly distributed in North, East, Central, South, Northwest and Southwest China. The contents include expressing the patriotism, inspiring the people and army to fight, uniting the CPC and Kuomintang to fight against the Japanese Aggression, recording the history of the War, cherishing the memory of heroes and celebrating the victory of the War.
