bjective:To provide morpologic data for the diagnosis and treatment of incarcerated syndrome of synovium in intervertebral articulation. Methods:Synovialis stratum and fibrous stratum were observed on 7 spinal columns (350 intervertebral articulations) of adult cadavers. Results:There were thick fibrous stratum at external layer and synovialis stratum at internal layer of intervertebral capsula. The articular cavity was very small and narrow. The synovialis stratum emerges into the articular cavity by double fold to form synovialis plica. There were synovialis plica in 90.6% of the anticulatis capsula. The synovialis plicas were divided into 4 types and 2 degrees acrroding to the original range and the length. Conclusions:The synovialis plica of intervertebral joints may cause incarcerated syndrome of synovium of intervertebral joints.
