Anatomical study of the uncinate process and operative resection for the uncinate process

Objective:To provide an anatomical basis for a best operative incision of nasal endoscopyMethods:The uncinate process was observed on 10 adult cadavers′ specimensAnd 202 sides of uncinate process resection were summarized and analyzedResults:The uncinate process was 188±22 mm long,43±05 mm wide in the middleConclusions:The agger nasi,lacrimal bone and the inferior border of the inferior turbinate could be regard as a sign to locate the uncinate process or select the operative incision during the uncinate process resection operation
