Effect of Different Nitrogen Forms and Application Methods on Growth and Nitrate Accumulation of Spinach

Pot experiments was carried out for studying the effect of different nitrogen fertilizer forms and application methods on growth and nitrate accumulation of spinach. The results showed that applying NO 3 --N in the limy soil had made spinach growth better and had lower nitrate content, applying NH 4 +-N had made spinach absorption and use nitrogen time postpone and significantly restrained the spinach growth. NO 3 --N was used base dressing and delaying sample all can significantly decrease nitrate accumulation amount. After of all, in order to obtain high yield and decrease nitrate content of foliage vegetables, it was important that NO 3 --N was mainly selected in nitrogen forms, base dressing was used in application method and harvest time was appropriately postponed.
