The Impact of Stock Investment Income Adjustment Mechanism on the Property Income of Urban and Rural Residents
Li Qiang,Wang Minghua
The income difference of urban and rural residents has been increasing, and the main cause is operational income and property income.Among the property incomes,40% urban families involve in stock investment, and the proportion of stock holdings in total financial assets in China increased year by year, becoming the main investment method for most urban families. In general, stock investment increases income of a small number of urban families and is the main reason for enlarging income difference between urban and rural residents.Due to the low return, low cash dividends of Chinese listed companies and the excessive speculative Chinese securities market, more than 70% small or medium individual investors are losing, and only 10% investors are making money from the stock market, therefore a redistribution of urban household wealth is formed.
