Analysis on Low Frequency Scattering Characteristic of Aircraft

Liu Zhanhe,Wu Zhe,Huang Peilin,Ji Jinzu(Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics,Beijing 100083,China)  
Basing on Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm(MLFMA),the characteristic in Reighlay and resonance region scattering from the plate models and full model of three stealth aircrafts was analyzed in detail.In Reighlay region,numerical results show that aircrafts with different configurations have the same distribution shape which is circular,the curves are similar for full model and plate model;the whole range RCS average and curves increase for two polarizations when the ratio of the aircraft typical dimension to incidence wavelength increase,the RCS amplitudes of horizontal polarization are higher than that of vertical polarization,a stealth performance limit is proved by contrasting full model with plate model,the RCS value of plate model is lower than full model.In resonance region,all curves change greatly and their distributions are not relation to aircraft shape,while the vertical polarization curves are more complex;it is presented that the partition between reighlay and resonance region should be increased for complex object such as aircraft.
