Two-scale Approach to Extracting Terrain Feature for Flight Rehearsal

A two-scale approach to extracting terrain feature for the mass terrain data modeling applied in flight rehearsal is presented. Terrain feature has been partitioned to large-scale and small-scale in this method. According to application requirement,large-scale and small-scale terrain feature point sets are dynamic extracted from original mass terrain data,which engendered the point sets that fit the original terrain feature with high resolution. The adaptability and rationality of large scene terrain feature modeling are enhanced. Experiment results validate the availability of the extraction approach.
