Analysis of Brayton Thermoelectric Conversion Method for Thermal Protection of Hypersonic Aircraft

A brayton thermoelectric conversion method which introduced to thermal protection of hypersonic aircraft is proposed. The efficiency of electric power generation and the power of generator are preliminarily calculated by taking into account the flight condition of hypersonic aircraft. Moreover,the influences between key parameters of the system and its performance are analyzed. Herein,the key parameters of system include flight Mach number,the efficiency of key components,pressure ratio of the compressor and three different working fluids,and the system performance just consider the power generation efficiency and output power. Results show that it is possible to conserve the hypersonic aircraft's aerodynamic heat to electric power. Furthermore,the system performance increases with the increasing of key parameters.
