THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL STUDY ON PIGS' PERYTHROZOONOSIS

From May, 2001 to April, 2003, We investigated sick pigs from 46 pig farms in 29 towns in Dengzhou. According to clinical symptom, pathology changes and experimental diagnosis, We made a definite diagnosis as attached perythrozoonosis. We investigated, diagnosed and counted 10 699 pigs. There were 2 937 sick pig. The incidence of this disease is 27.5%. 552 pigs died of this disease. The death rate is 18.8%. There were 5 756 piglets. The weight of each piglet is under 30kg, 1 791 ones were sick. 2 007 medium sized pigs (30~60kg), 558 one were sick. 2 016 big pigs(above 60kg), 403 ones were sick. 920 grown up female pigs, 185 ones were sick. The incidences of this disease are respectively 31.1%、27.8%, 20% and 20.1%. The death rates are respectively 26%、10.2%、5% and 5%. We employed the comprechensive prevention and cure way of combining traditional Chinese medicine to western medicine and cured 2 355 pigs. The cure rate is 80.2% . The results of curing 30 ones are remarkable. The total effective rate is 81.2%.
