Non-singular Terminal Sliding Mode Control of Buck Converter

In order to improve control performances of Buck converter, a non-singular terminal sliding mode control(NTSMC) is proposed. The NTSMC manifold and control law are desigened, the existence condition of sliding mode is proved theoretically, and robustness of disturbances is analysed. The singularity problem associated with conventional terminal sliding mode control(TSMC) can be eliminated using the NTSMC control, so the NTSMC is easy to implement by circuits and has good application prospects. Through computer simulations,the results of the proposed NTSMC strategy are compared with the conventional sliding mode control and TSMC strategies. It is shown that the NTSMC exhibits a considerable improvement in terms of the output voltage responding speed and steady-state accuracy.
