An Enantiopure Organometallic Dirhodium Compounds with Single Rh-Rh Bond

The crystals of enantiopure R-cis-Rh_2(Ph_2C_6H_4)_2(Protos)2(CH_3 CN)_(2·3)CH_3 CN(Hprotos=N-(4-methylphenylsulfonyl-(L)-proline)(1) were obtained from the recrystallization of R-cis-Rh_2(Ph_2C_6H_4)_2(Protos)_2(H_2O)_2(R-2) in CH_2Cl_2/CH_3 CN.Compound 1 crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 9.8148(16), b = 12.111(2), c = 57.199(10) , V= 6799(2) ~3, Z = 4, C_(70)H_(71)N_7O_8P_2Rh_2S_2, Mr = 1470.22, Dc = 1.436 g/cm~3, F(000) = 3024 and μ(MoKα) = 6.54 mm~(-1).The final R =0.0863 and wR = 0.2013 for 9872 observed reflections with I 2σ(I) and R = 0.0903 and wR = 0.2033 for all data with absolute structure parameter = 0.08(6).Compound 1 is a paddlewheel dimetal complex with mixed bridging ligands.It contains a dinuclear Rh(II) core bridged by two orthometalated phosphines and two L-type protos groups in a cisoid arrangement, with a molecule of CH_3CN in each axial position.The Rh-Rh distance is 2.524(1)
