Research of Regional Differences in Degree of Polarization and Intensity of China's Water Resources

This paper studied the regional difference in the degree of polarization and intensity of China' s water resources in 2003-2014. The results showed that: 1The intensity of China's water resources in the regions showed a downward trend,the highest in northwest region,the lowest in north region. 2The national level of the water intensity Gini coefficient was generally larger than the regional level. The Gini coefficient of northwest region's water resources intensity was the highest,and Changjiang River region was the lowest. The water intensity Theil index's results were similar to it. 3The decomposition of water resources intensity' Gini coefficient,the difference of regional water resources intensity was the largest. 4To characterize the degree of polarization of the ER index was greater than EGR index and MU index,and three indexes were decreased. Thus,the regional of higher water resources intensity needed to adjust the industrial structure,and learn saving irrigation and other technology from the lower water resources intensity,in order to improve water use efficiency.
