Relationship among different disease indicators of rice false smut

In order to clarify the relationship among different disease indicators of rice false smut(RFS),the occurrence and damage of RFS on120 new indica combinations(lines)from Hunan Rice Regional Trial were investigated and analyzed.Linear correlation analysis showed that diseased hill rate(DHR),diseased panicle rate(DPR),the average diseased grains per panicle(ADGPP)and disease index(DI)were significantly positively correlated with each other.The correlation coefficient between DPR and DI was up to 0.986.The DPR was a convenient and precise indicator for RFS evaluation.The regression equation between DPR(x)and DI(y),ADGPP(x)and DI(y),and DPR(x)and ADGPP(y)were y=0.343x-0.441(1.29x≤100),y=10.965x+0.691(x0)and y=0.029x-0.078(2.67x≤100),respectively,which can be used for data conversion and data comparison.
