Expression Analysis of Ferric-Chelate Reductase Gene of Malus xiaojinensis Cheng et Jiang

Ferric-chelate reductase gene in Malus xiaojinensis was investigated by blotting hybridization technique. Southern blot suggested that the genome of M. xiaojinensis had one copy. The transcription of ferric-chelate reductase gene was induced and strengthened by iron stress in roots, whereas it was no significant difference by iron stress in leaves. Ferric-chelate reducase activity was similar to its transcription change.
