Comparison between prone position and lithotomic oblique supine position applied in percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Objective:To compare the application of prone position and lithotomy oblique supine position in percutaneous nephrolithotomy.Methods:80 patients with renal calculi were randomly divided into two groups with 40 cases each.One group applied the prone position and the other applied lithotomic oblique supine position.The time of establishing the percutaneous channel,operation time,stone clearance rate,blood loss,postoperative fever,and viscera injury in the two groups were evaluated retrospectively.Results:Surgeries in the two groups were all successfully completed.Operation time,stone clearance rate,and blood loss in the lithotomic oblique supine position group were better than that of the prone position group.Conclusion:The application of the lithotomic oblique supine position in PCNL has various advantages and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
