The role of HOXA5 gene in the development of cancer and its related diseases

HOXA5 is a member of the homeobox(HOX)gene family,with high conservatism.It is important in the process of development of embryonic cells and differentiation of adult cells.It plays a critical role in regulating transcription of DNA synthesis.This paper illustrates the relationship between HOXA5 and cancer by describing the status of gene expression and the role in the development of these diseases:breast cancer,acute myeloid leukemia,non-small cell lung carcinoma and ovarian epithelial inclusion cysts.Then provide the proof for action in cancer gene therapy by HOXA5.
