Studies on content difference, absorption and accumulation characteristics of microelements in sweet rice grown at different locations

The contents of eleven microelements in roots, stems and milled grains of a sweet rice Jiangyong Sweet Rice and in the soil where the sweet rice was grown were determined. The result showed the roots and the stems of sweet rice could have the strongest ability to absorb and accumulate plenty of Mn, As and Zn followed by Pb. The Milled grains of Jiangyong Sweet Rice were rich in Mn and Zn and therefore had the higher contents of Mn and Zn than those of common rices.
