Improvement Effect of Lime Application on Acidic Tobacco Soil

A general survey on tobacco soil of Leiyang city showed that the average pH value of soil in acid-yellow-soil area was 5.12,in which 75% was lower than 5.5.The pH value of acid-yellow-soil was increased by lime application,and results in this experiment showed that lime application could promote growth of tobacco,coordinate the chemical compositions of flue-cured tobacco,improve the proportion of superior tobacco leaves,significantly increase yield and quality of tobacco.The optimal application rate of lime was 750 kg/hm2.
