Effect of psychological intervention on quality of life in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery and their spouses

[Objective]To study the effect of psychological intervention on quality of life in patients undergoing breast cancer surgery and their spouses. [Methods]120 patients undergoing breast cancer surgery were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,60 patients in each group.The patients and their spouses in the experimental group were treated by psychological counseling.In the control group,only patients received psychological counseling.The questionnaire of life quality assessment was conducted on the day of discharge. [Results]The quality of life of patients and their spouses in the experimental group was significantly better than that in the control group(P0.01). [Conclusion]The psychological nursing measures based on the psychological characteristics of families undergoing breast cancer surgery can improve the quality of life of patients and their spouses.
