Epidemic trend of class-B infectious diseases in Yuhuatai district of Nanjing city 2001-2010

[Objective]To analyze the epidemic status and epidemiological characteristics of class-B infectious diseases in Yuhuatai district of Nanjing city,provide the scientific basis for making and perfecting the control strategies of infectious diseases.[Methods]The descriptive epidemiology method was adopted.[Results]15 kinds of class-B infectious diseases were reported during 2001-2010,there were a total of 5 882 cases,and 5 cases died.The average annual incidence rate was 221.25/lakh,and average annual mortality rate was 0.16/lakh.In ten years,dysentery,pulmonary tuberculosis and syphilis always ranked in the top five of incidence rate.The disease types and structures showed that the bloodborne diseases and sexually transmitted diseases accounted for 35.02%,which was the highest.[Conclusion]During 2001-2010,the reported incidence rate of class-B infectious diseases in Yuhuatai district decreased generally,the respiratory infectious disease showed a rising trend,and the intestinal infectious disease showed a downward trend.The dysentery,pulmonary tuberculosis and syphilis are the emphasis of infectious diseases control in Yuhuatai district,meanwhile the bloodborne diseases and sexually transmitted diseases need to be controlled.
