The Early Xia Culture: The Alternations of Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasty and the Changes of Archaeological Cultures

Li Boqian
The Shang and Zhou people established the Dynasties by large-scale wars, so it's easy to understand the breaking change in the archaeological cultures between the two. The emergence of Xia Dynasty is the result of social development, so it's impossible to observe any discontinuity in the archaeological culture. The thought to equal a new archaeological culture with the establishment of Xia Dynasty can not be accepted from both theory and practice.
