To establish and evaluate Heart-Qi deficiency syndrome model in WKY rat

Objecive:To establish heart-qi deficiency syndrome model in WKY rat.Methods:Every animal in experiment group was forced to load-carrying swim under 5% body weight with slimming until exhausted every day for 16 days.From 13th day ig propanolol with large dosage 24mg/kg and lasted for 4 days.And set up a group of supplement Qi to validate the model farther.Results:The general symptom and physical sign of animals were in line with the clinical menifetation of Qi deficiency syndrome.Haemodynamics shew that ventricular systole and diastole function were depressed.Conclusion:The complex factor including forced load-carrying swimming,slimming and large dosage of propanolol could reproduce the animal model of heart-qi deficiency syndrome,which was according with theory of TCM roughly.
