To study therapy urination disorder after acute stroke by electroacpuncture

Objective: To evaluate the effects of electroacupuncture (EA)to treat voiding dysfunction after stroke. Methods: Acute stroke patients with 60 case urine retention and 60 case incontinence ,divided into acpuncture group and comparison group at random. Acpuncture group were therapyed by electroacpuncture stimulating baliao and huiyang point, comparison group were therapyed by common practice . and contrasting by urination diary and most bladder capacity. Result: The effective rate of urine retention ,acpuncture group was about 83.3%,but comparison group was about 56.6%. The voiding frequency effective rate of incontinence, acpuncture group was about 90%, but comparison group was about 26.6%. Incontinence degree effective rate of incontinence acpuncture group was about 86.7%,but comparison group was about 13.3%. Conclusion: The effects of electroacupuncture (EA)to treat voiding dysfunction after stroke were very well.Being simple, convenient, economic and without adverse reaction, it should be spreaded widely.
