Objective:To study the glycometabolism effects of total flavonoids from Epimedium acuminatum and E.leptorrhizum grown in Guizhou(贵州) on the type Ⅱ diabetes.Method: Type Ⅱ diabetes model was established by combining alloxan and high fat diet,4 groups given flavonoids of 100,50 mg/kg for 14 days,Then determine the level of FBG,OGTT,TNS.Result: Total flavonoids from Epimedium acuminatum with high dose 100mg/kg can significantly reduced the FBG of type Ⅱ diabetes, improve the OGTT and increase the sensibility of INS.Conclusion: Total flavonoids from Epimedium acuminatum can improve the glycometabolism of type Ⅱ diabetes by reducing FBG and improving OGTT while the effect of total flavonoids from E.leptorrhizum is not obvious.
