The treatment of children's supracondylar ulno-deviated fracture of the humerus by everting splint plus spring pad reduction——A clinical obser-vation of 63 cases
Everting splint and spring pad are designed and made according to the injury mechanism and treatment principle of humeral supracondylarulno-deviated fracture. The lower segment of the lateral board is bent outward to 150°and the back of the are functions to compress the proximal fragment inward; the medial board plus spring pad functions to push the distal fragment outward, which could maintain the good para-position of the fragments and decrease the factors inducing eubitus varus from the malposition. This method was used to treat 63 cases,61 of which were followed up for 0.5-3 years. The excellent-good rate reached 87％ and the cubitus-varus incidence was 13％that was lower than that reported in both Chinese and foreign literature.
