Biochemical Study on the Influence of Food on Formation of Body Constitution

When normal Wister male rats were fed with spiced food and ice-cream respectively, the rats in the fomer group revealed a constitution of hot nature with Na~+-K~+-ATPase activity, serum T,, T_4 levels all increased, while rats in the other group revealed constitution of cold nature with lowered levels of the indices, the difference being statistically significant. For serum T, the control group revealed the highest level, while that of ice-cream group, the lowest, again the difference being significant.(P0.05)
