Prehistoric Pig-Bone Burials in the Middle Reaches of Han River and Related Questions

Luo Yunbing(Wuhan,Hubei 430072)
Recent archaeological investigations suggest that the Middle Reaches of Hart River is an- ther cultural centre where the prehistoric burial custom of using pig-bone prevailed and these data are no less important than that from the Haidai area.Furthermore, the burial materials from the Diaolongbei site clearly suggest that the quantity of burial pig bone is an important or even only one criteria for me- asuring social ranks or wealth of the tomb owner, which is obviously different with Haidai area.
