Analysis of Stability and Treatment on the Side and Face Upward Slope at Dianhuiping Multi-arch Tunnel

Multi -arch tunnel has some specific characters such as large excavation scope and repetitious disturbances during excavation. Using Dianhuiping Tunnel on Changji highway as an example in this paper, in - situ tests at side and face upward slope and tunnel are carried through. The factors related with the stability of side and face upward slope at multi - arch tunnel are analysed from the factors which include geological condition, landform physiognomy, groundwater, construction method and construction quality. Some treatment measures are presented, which are used successfully in practice.
