Application of SCR Catalyst in Thermal Power Plant

Catalyst is the key part of selective catalytic reduction(SCR) system,and its catalytic behavior directly affects the efficiency and economics of NOx reduction.In this paper,the property of SCR catalyst with 3 kinds of physical structures has been compared,and the role of various metal oxides played during NOx reduction process has been introduced.During the operation of SCR catalyst,the influence of temperature,space velocity,and mole ratio of NH3/NOx on catalytic performance have been analyzed.Based on the operation characteristics of SCR system,the factors that cause catalyst deactivation such as ash abrasion,clogging,alkali metal and arsenic poisoning,and sintering have been presented.
