Design and analysis of compaction device and container for municipal solid waste

For the problem that the compaction effect is not well in the existing municipal solid waste(MSW) compaction device,a new compactor and container for the MSW compaction was presented.A compacting way for MSW was given,which has better performance in the compaction effect and tightness of the waste.A push-shovel-shaped compactor device of the MSW compaction was designed by optimizing the compactor structure of traditional MSW compaction device,which the compress ratios and compaction effect can be improved.A new waste container matching with the designed push-shovel-shaped compactor was presented by improving the structure and sewage outfall of the existing MSW container.Such a compactor device and container for the MSW compaction were analyzed using the finite element method.The analysis results show the push-shovel-shaped compactor has better compaction effect compared to the planar and wedge-shaped compaction device currently used.The results can provide some reference theory to the design and manufacture of the MSW compaction device.
