Comparison of dynamic capabilities of serictie-quartz schist and fiber-reinforced concrete under uniaxial impact compressive loading

Experiments with strain rate varying from 10 1 to 10 3 s-1 on serictie-quartz schist and basalt fiber-reinforced concrete(BFRC)under uniaxi-al compressive loading are conducted with the modified split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB).The dynamic compressive strength,fragment numbers and size,and the relationship between specific energy absorption and strain rate are also analyzed.The experimental results show that the dynamic com-pressive strength,the fragment numbers and size and specific energy absorption of serictie-quartz schist and BFRC are strain rate dependent.
