Agnes Heller's Conception of Future Social Community and Its Contemporary Significance

SONG Jianli ;HE Dongyou;
From the perspective of modernity reflection and criticism, Heller reveals that the unreasonable social division of labor in class society causes the alienation of daily life, which leads to the alienation of the whole society represented by the crisis of belief, cultural crisis and even the crisis of human existence. In order to overcome social alienation, Heller put forward his value conception of “future social community”, aiming to overcome the alienation of daily life by transforming the attitude of daily life subjects and shaping individual personality, so as to realize the convergence of daily life and non-daily life, so as to construct “future social community”. Heller's “future social community” is dedicated to the shaping of the common values of human society. It is a community built by people's voluntary choice and joint efforts. It is a community of unity between daily life and non-daily life, and a community home for the existence of all mankind. Heller's “future social community” is essentially a community of values. Its emphasis on humanitarian principles, common values of human society and community consciousness provides us with many valuable references for building a community of human destiny in today's multicultural world.
