ZHANG Yifan;LI Qi;WU Jiying;School of Finance and Economics, Jiangsu University;
On the basis of clarifying theoretically the mechanism of digital economy driving industrial structure upgrading, this paper measured the development level of digital economy based on the panel data of 30 provinces in mainland China(except Tibet) from 2013 to 2019, and analyzed the spatial spillover effect of digital economy driving industrial structure upgrading by using the Spatial Durbin Model, and further constructed the mediating effect model to reveal the mediating mechanism of integration of digital and real economy. The results show that digital economy plays a significant role in promoting industrial structure upgrading, and exerts a positive spillover effect on the industrial structure upgrading in its neighboring regions. The expansion of financial scale can significantly promote the industrial structure upgrading in the local region, while excessive government intervention is not conducive to the industrial structure upgrading. The integration of digital and real economy has a significant mediating effect which is proved of robustness.
