The mechanism of separating acid and arsenic from waste liquor after selenium extraction by using anion exchange membrane was discussed. The average diffusion velocity of H~+ and Na~+ using the selected 1~# and 3~# anion exchange membrane was investigated by diffusion dialysis static test. The variation of H~+ concentration in the diffusion chamber and dialysis room with time during the diffusion dialysis process was studied, and the separation coefficients of acid and salt by 1~# and 3~# anion exchange membrane were calculated to be 5. 87 and 10. 98,respectively. It is concluded that acid and salt separation effect by 1~# anion exchange membrane is better than that by 3~# anion exchange membrane.
