Investigation on the Relationship between the Course of Acne and Pityrosporum Orbiculare Infection

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the course of acne and pityrosporum orbiculare infection. Methods: 113 cases were divided into three groups, and microscopic examination, fungi culture, anti-fungal treatment were carried out. Results: P. orb positive rate in three groups were 63.9%,40.5% and 16% respectively, the positive rate of group Ⅰ was significantly higher than that of group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ(χ 2=4.25,P0.05; χ 2=13.71, P0.001 respectively), group Ⅱ was significantly higher than that in group Ⅲ(χ 2=4.25,P0.05). Conclusion:The possibility of pityrosporum orbiculare infection is increased as the disease course processing.
