Learnings of China′s coal chemical industry from carbon emission quota allocation practice of power generation industry

Based on the current situation of quota allocation of power generation industry with mature carbon emission trading, the relevant situation of carbon emission quota allocation of China's coal chemical industry in the context of carbon neutrality was studied. The carbon emission of coal chemical industry in recent years was summarized. Three carbon emission quota allocation methods in the power generation industry were introduced, namely baseline method, historical intensity method and historical emission method. The impact of the company scale, product type and process measures of the power generation industry on the profit and loss of carbon emission quota was analyzed, and relevant suggestions on the initial quota allocation of carbon market in the coal chemical industry were put forward.
